SCRAPS is this year's iteration of a photo journal that I have been updating for the past six years.
ENTERA brief collection of favorites.
Shoots, collections, odds & ends.
The day-to-day life of my telephone.
The previous six years. More photos than you should ever have to look through.
The sixth year of photo albums actually began with an honest-to-god picture show; thanks to a few king size sheets draped across the back of our house and a projector we borrowed from the neighbors. The rest of the fall was spent in Brooklyn, and just to keep things interesting I spent February with Becca & Meg over in Minneapolis. In April I flew out to Tanzania to begin five months of travel that concluded with an absolutely perfect few days on the Isle of Skye.
XXVI documents a year spent happily reuniting myself with the good ol'USA. After a couple months spent in Siena, I moved to Brooklyn, where I spent the rest of the spring enjoying NYC's best coffee shops in between long walking tours of the city. The summer months were spent on the road, following my little sister on her trans-continental bike ride, ending back in Canaan, with outdoor movies and indoor croquet.
Quarter Past (A hopeful title, I was twenty-five) started in Minneapolis and ended on the midnight bus from Rome back to Siena. In between was 6 months in Portland, OR, then a series of trains, planes and camels in the eastern USA, China, Mongolia, Russia and northern Europe. It was a good year.
My 24th year ( hence the title) was possibly my busiest yet, starting off with a fresh departure for Italy, a road trip through Switzerland & Germany, then swinging back to the states during the holidays for some time in NYC & LA, then back to Italy again and then - finally - a month of wandering around east Africa. Phew!
In the fall of 2006, I moved to Boston and spent a glorious (almost) year on the east coast, living in the US but outside academia for the first time in my life. This album covers my time in Boston as well as short trips to home, Portland and Denver.
Italia was the first of the photo albums, and covers the year I spent in Siena, Italy just after graduating. It includes short trips taken around northern Italy, as well as a couple weeks spend celebrating my little sister's birthday in New Zealand. It's my first shot at making a photo gallery, so the navigation is a little trying.
